H.E.A.T. Events
H.E.A.T. organizes several campus-wide events each year.
Contact H.E.A.T. for more information.
Rocksoberfest reaches approximately 500 students each October. H.E.A.T. runs the event like a festival,
with free food, free t-shirts, and educational booths about alcohol, drugs, sexually transmitted infections,
birth control, pregnancy, and safe-sex practices.
During the spring semester, H.E.A.T. works with EKU's Women's Studies
department to organize Take Back the Night. The evening begins with a vigil honoring those affected by sexual
abuse, physical abuse, rape, or sexual assault. The event usually ends with a rock concert and an opportunity
for those affected by abuse or assault to share their stories.
At the end of the fall and spring semesters, H.E.A.T. creates the
Stress Free Zone. Students can
relax in the Zone with massages,
coloring books, crafts, aroma therapy, and free food.
